2. The petitioner, who is in custody since 30.11.2024, seeks regular bail in connection with Shastrinagar P.S. Case No. 921 of 2024 registered for the offence under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 338, 336(4), 341(1), 341(2), 342(2), 61(2), 3(5) and 342(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner along with others is alleged to have indulged in a planned way of deceiving and giving effect of selling false gold ornaments with application of false shop codes and false hallmarks.

4. During investigation a large number of criminals have been arrested who have been found to be involved in the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.28679 of 2025(2) dt.07-05-2025 2/2 crime. The petitioner's name has come in the self inculpatory statement of co accused. Para 40 of the case diary shows that from the petitioner two bracelets and one golden chain have been recovered carrying the mark of the shop of the petitioner.

5. During investigation, it has also come that the petitioner belongs to a gang of criminals who used to buy gold ornaments and thereafter they used to return the ornaments which were not made of gold carrying the mark of the shop in question and used to take back money.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application for regular bail is hereby rejected.
