This application is filed for grant of regular bail in connection with Muzaffarpur Excise Case No. 59 of 2021 (arising out of P. R. No. 30) registered under sections 30(a), 32 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is recovery of 2361.300 litres of illicit foreign liquor. The petitioner is in custody since 23.02.2023.

Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32329 of 2023(2) dt.22-05-2023 2/2 Considering the period of custody and the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, this application for regular bail is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise Court no.-II, Muzaffarpur in connection with Muzaffarpur Excise Case No. 59 of 2021 (arising out of P. R. No. 30).

The petitioner will visit Bochahan Police Station on the first Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
