This is an application for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 576 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 406/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is allegedly one of the Directors of the Ramp Group of Companies-Vedant Mutual Benefit India Ltd. Allegedly, crores of rupees have been got deposited in the said Company by the investors. The complainant described himself to be Cashier of the said Company in his statement made on solemn affirmation. He has alleged that the Director of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29792 of 2019(3) dt.08-05-2019 2/3 Company had issued a cheque in his favour worth Rs. 20 lakh, which could not be encashed because of difference in signature. It appears from the complaint petition and the statement of the complainant on the solemn affirmation that there is allegation of cheating against the Company and thousands of investors' maturity amount is not being paid by the Company. In view of the submission that there is no direct allegation against the petitioner of any misappropriation or cheating and her involvement because she is only the Director of the Company, this application is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, in the event of her arrest/surrender within six weeks from today in the court below, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, IIIrd, Kaimur at Bhabua in Complainant Case No. 576 of 2016, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

This is subject to the condition that the petitioner shall present herself before the Police/Court, as the case may be, as and when required and in the event of failure on her part to appear before the court on two consecutive occasions, her bail
