Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks regular bail in K. Nagar (Champa Nagar) P.S. Case no. 05/2022 registered for the offences punishable under sections 25(1-B)a and 26 of the Arms Act. Allegedly, from the possession of this petitioner one country made pistol loaded with magazine containing 4 mm bullets and three mobile phones were recovered. The main submissions advanced by Sri Birendra Kumar Singh, the learned counsel for the petitioner are that petitioner has been languishing in jail since 5.1.2022 and against him investigation has been completed.

Heard both sides, perused the FIR and seizure list attached to the FIR. Present petitioner has criminal antecedent of six cases and most of the cases of his criminal antecedent relate to extortion and in the instant matter, country made pistol loaded with magazine was recovered from his possession. Considering these facts, in my view, petitioner does not deserve privilege of bail and accordingly his prayer for bail stands rejected.
