2. At the outset, learned Advocate for the State submitted that the issue raised before this Court was duly considered by the learned Division Bench of this Court in Devmuni Paswan Vs. The State of Bihar & Ors. [2023(2) PLJR 425], wherein the declaration of Clause 5(7) of the Bihar Chaukidari Cadre (Amendment) Rules, 2014 being held ultra vires and violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India. The challenge to the decision rendered by the learned Division Bench has also failed before the Apex Court.

3. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court does not find any merit in the present writ petition. Accordingly, it stands dismissed.
