In this case, the petitioner is challenging the action of the railway administration in granting the work to respondent no.3-Abhay Kumar Singh as an agent to sell the railway tickets and to book luggage and parcel traffic on behalf of administration at Motihari Court.
The petitioner and his family members have been working as an agent for last 47 years. Earlier, the father of the petitioner was working as an agent and after his death the petitioner
Patna High Court CWJC No.19263 of 2015 dt.25-08-2017 was working. This time, the railway administration has decided to select the person by open tender. The petitioner also participated, but could not be selected. The grievance has been raised by the petitioner that the tender was not opened in his presence. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the railway authority, he may approach the D.R.M. or the competent authority by filing proper representation. If the petitioner files representation, the authority concerned will be obliged to examine the claim of the petitioner and take decision in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of filing of representation by the petitioner.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ application is disposed of.
