The matter has been taken up through video conferencing.

The petitioner seeks bail in Alamganj P.S. case No. 208/2020 registered u/s 30(a), 41(2) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act.

The police on secret inputs intercepted a Wagon R car but driver of the car managed to flee away after jumping into Ganra river. The petitioner was apprehended and on search from the car 84.180 liter of foreign liquor was recovered. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody since 15.03.2020 and for recovery of 84.180 liter of foreign liquor the petitioner has already remained in jail for more than six and half months.

No.25083 of 2020(2) dt.22-09-2020 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegation made against the petitioner, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise Act, Patna in connection with Alamganj P.S. case No. 208 of 2020.
