2. The present petition has been filed for the grant of following relief(s):

"(i) For issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction for quashing the letter/order dated 03.08.2017 (Annexure-4) issued by the Competent Authority (Bihar) by which the petitioner has been informed that his land situated at Khata No. 112, Kheshra No. 371, total area 0.4319 hectare has been acquired by the respondent under section 6 (1) of the Petroleum Mineral Pipeline (Acquisition of right of user in land) Act, 1962.

(iii) For direction to the respondent authority to dispose of the objection letter dated 28.10.2016 after giving opportunity to the petitioner of being heard and if necessary to make enquiry in the matter.

(iv) For any other relief or reliefs be granted to the petitioner to which he is found legally entitled in the facts and circumstances of the case."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner is allowed to approach the Gas Authority of India Limited/competent authority in next four weeks for the redressal of grievance.

4. If such petition is filed, the competent authority shall be duty bound to look into the matter, peruse the record and pass a reasoned order preferably within a period of six months from the day petition is filed.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of.
