JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 21-08-2018 In view of certain events subsequent to filing of the writ petition, limited issue which has been raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the process of selection, which has been initiated, for which the panel dated 20.09.2016 has been prepared is required be taken to its logical conclusion by appointing the various applicants, including the petitioner. This court would observe that the process of selection has been initiated and the panel has been prepared, as far as back in the year, 2016. It would thus be appropriate in the interest of justice that process be taken to its conclusion. Keeping the same pending does not serve any purpose. Therefore, no further orders need be passed and the writ petition is disposed of with

Patna High Court CWJC No.10995 of 2014 (8) dt.21-08-2018 2/2 observation that the process which has been initiated and for which the panel dated 20.09.2016 prepared, may be concluded by the respondent authorities expeditiously and preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner expressed apprehension that the respondents by undertaking the process of selection would not consider the petitioner's candidature in light of the notification dated 26.12.2013 bearing memo no. 19553 of the General & Administrative Department, Patna. Such an apprehension as of today is not tangible or real. If in the process of selection, respondents authorities do not abide by the said notification, it would be open to the petitioners to avail any remedy available to them in law. The writ petition is disposed of with aforesaid observations.
