2. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a direction to the respondent-authorities to fill up the form of PartIII, B.Sc. (Hons) Maths and also for a direction to the respondent-authorities to add practical marks of chemistry as subsidiary paper in the marks-sheet of part I, B.Sc. (Hons) Maths as the petitioner has obtained 18 marks in chemistry as subsidiary paper.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the University and in para-10 of the counter affidavit, it is stated

Patna High Court CWJC No.6928 of 2024(6) dt.30-09-2024 2/3 that vide letter no. PPU/CON/EXAM/436 dated 11.04.2023, a direction has been issued to all the Principals of Degree Colleges regarding students, who failed to participate in the practical examination as scheduled by the University. The direction was issued to conduct the practical examination of such students between 12.04.2023 to 15.04.2023. Further, the colleges were directed to submit the marks-sheet of such students on the web portal of the University and hard copy was required to be submitted in the examination department.

Specific directions were issued to the Degree Colleges that in case roll number of student was not mentioned in the marks folio then the concerned college was required to send their representative to the Examination Department of the University and get the same rectified within a specific time period between 12.04.2023 to 14.04.2023. Further, it was also clarified that in future any offline practical will be invalid. It is further stated in para-12 of the counter affidavit that vide letter dated 30.05.2023 and 15.06.

Patna High Court CWJC No.6928 of 2024(6) dt.30-09-2024 3/3 the stipulated time frame. It is further stated that in spite of specific directions by the University, the concerned College failed to upload the marks of the practical examination of the petitioner.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is allowed and the respondent University is directed to give permission to the petitioner to fill-up the form of Part-III, B.Sc. (Hons) Maths and add practical marks of chemistry as subsidiary paper in the marks-sheet of part I, B.Sc. (Hons) and issue a fresh marks-sheet for part-I, B.Sc. (Hons).
