The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Piprakothi P.S. Case No. 20 of 2021 registered for the offence under Section 386 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case, in short, is that on 27.11.2020, the informant received call on his mobile for demanding Rs. 10,00,000/- as ransom money.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that, in fact, the mobile. in question, belongs to his brother. Since between the informant and his brother are having dispute with regard to monetary transaction, the

Learned APP for the State, on the basis of the materials available on the record, submits that during the course of investigation sufficient material has come against the petitioner to implicate the petitioner in connection with the present case.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. It is, accordingly, rejected.
