The present Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- ".....for issuance of an appropriate writ, order and direction for (i) constituting a State Level Departmental enquiry Committee, including a representative of district union to enquire the gravity of the matter fairly and very transparently pertains to
Patna High Court CWJC No.7331 of 2024(7) dt.09-12-2024 2/3 consolidated malpractices, extortion, corruption and exploitation is being practiced by the Distinct level official of Food & Consumer Protection Department and state food corporation, Jamui. (ii) Constituting "Vigilance Committee" at state level to block level constituted under Section 29 to regularly supervise the implementation of all schemes and for ensuring transparency and proper functioning of Targeted Public Distribution System and accountability of the functionaries under National Food Securities Act, 2013."
3. In Paragraph No. 14 of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the Respondent Nos. 3, 4, 6 & 7, it is stated as under:- "14. That in this regard it is submitted that a monitoring meeting of supply department at district level is always held to ensure transparency and proper functioning of Targeted Public Distribution System within the full knowledge of District Secretary of Fair Price Shop Association, Jamui. Be as it may in view of instant writ an explanation to this effect was called for from Assistant Godown Manager F.C.I.
Sikandra, which is evident from Annexure I/A given in very outset of this Counter affidavit. Hence entire allegation is quite false and hereby denied by respondent authority."
4. Having regard to the above, the authorities are directed to complete the enquiry, if any, and pass necessary
Patna High Court CWJC No.7331 of 2024(7) dt.09-12-2024 3/3 orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
