The petitioners seek bail in anticipation of their arrest in connection with Sigori P.S. Case No. 55/2017 dated 24.06.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 338, 353 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

When the police party arrived to pacify the dispute between the contractors and the villagers, the villagers are said to have attacked the police party. Though the petitioners have been named in the F.I.R. but nothing specific has been alleged against them. Even their identification and their being arraigned as accused appears to be malicious.

No.33847 of 2018 (2) dt.05-07-2018 2/2 Regard being had to the fact that some of the accused persons of this case have been granted anticipatory bail by a Bench of this Court and that the petitioners do not have any criminal antecedents, they, too, are directed to be released on bail, in the event of their surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on their furnishing bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand), with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate V, Danapur in connection with Sigori P.S. Case No. 55/2017, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. (Ashutosh Kumar, J.) Rakhi U T
