JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 15-07-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That the application is for issuance of appropriate writ, order and direction upon the respondents to extend the period of passport as well as grant no objection with regard to him coming to his home country, India from Saudi Arabia."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Respondent No. 3 i.e. the Chief Passport Officer, Department of Passport Office, New Delhi, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, the petitioner approaches the Respondent No. 3, by filing appropriate representation, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be disposed off, by a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks, thereafter.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
