Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP, Mr. Chandra Bhushan Prasad.

On inquiry of the court with regard to the stage of the case, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite his best endeavours, he could not seek instruction from the petitioner nor the petitioner ever contacted him in these six years, as such he is not in a position to inform the court about the present status of the case.

At this stage, the learned APP submits that the petitioner is seeking quashing of an order dated 11-11-2016 passed by the learned SDJM, Patna in Complaint Case No. 3124(C) of 2015 whereby cognizance of offences under Section 498A of the IPC read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act has been taken.

It is next submitted that much water has flown from 2016, it may be a possibility that trial might have concluded by now and thus the petitioner never contacted the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Considering the submission made by the learned APP, the court is not inclined to entertain the quashing application and the same is rejected.
