JUSTICE HARISH KUMAR ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 02-05-2024 We have seen that the contempt cases are filed against the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the respondent and also the Instructing Counsel.
2. We find that there is absolutely no reason to proceed on contempt merely because the learned Senior Counsel appearing are arguing the case on behalf of the respondents. We were un-happy with the manner the student is trying to raise allegations against the Counsel appearing for the respondent.
3. The student/petitioner was present in this Court and
Patna High Court MJC No.1366 of 2024(2) dt.02-05-2024 2/2 as we directed, the learned Advocate General had spoken to him. We are adjourning the main matter for further hearing since there was a via media proposed by the learned Advocate General, who had intervened in the matter.
4. In any event, we do not think that a contempt survives against the Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. On expressing our minds, the petitioner himself volunteered to withdraw the contempt petition.
5. The contempt petition stands closed.
