1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) To issue forthwith Arms License of Rifle to the petitioner in response to this application filed online on 19.07.2021.

(ii) To hold that sitting over the matter relating to issuing of new arms license of rifle is gross case of inaction, non-exercise of power and unfair act on the part of licensing authority."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner had applied for grant of arms license for the entire state of Bihar, however the District Magistrate, West Champaran at Bettiah, by an order dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.7848 of 2023(4) dt.28-06-2024 2/2 25.01.2024 has though, granted the arms license but has restricted the same to the District-West Champaran, hence it is prayed that the petitioner be granted liberty to challenge the said order dated 25.01.2024, to the aforesaid extent, by filing appropriate appeal. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner also seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to make appropriate representation before the District Magistrate, West Champaran at Bettiah. Liberty so sought is also granted.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
