That the application is for issuance of writ/ command/ directions in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents authorities to make payment of the maturity amount of Begumpur R.D. Account No.59237 deposited in Begumpur Post Office, to the petitioner with appropriate interest over the said amount from the date of maturity till the date of actual payment and for any other appropriate order as may be found fit

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies, as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed. As far as the cheque of Rs.66,000/- is concerned, which has been produced before this Court, the same is returned back to the learned counsel appearing for the Postal Department, without there being any lien of any party upon the same.
