Patna High Court CWJC No.8193 of 2022(2) dt.06-02-2024 2/3 "1(i) For direction to the respondent concerned to recommend the names of the petitioners and to issue appointment letters to the post of Accounts Officer. (ii) For direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioners in the light of Rule 11 of Bihar Accounts Services Rules, 2000 (as amended from time to time) (iii) For direction to the respondents to recommend the name of the petitioners for appointment on the post on the basis of Rule 11 and the Clause-VII of the Advertisement No.03 of 2015.

(iv) For holding and declaration of Rule 11 of Bihar Accounts Services Rules, 2000 (as amended from time to time) and recommendation of the petitioners' names for appointment as they are eligible to be appointed on the post due to the terms and conditions mentioned in the Rule 11 as well as in the advertisement with regard to the subjects for which the preference may be given. (v) For holding and declaration that the persons appointed pursuant to the Advertisement No.03 of 2015, of which most of the candidates do not possess the requisite qualification of a degree from recgonized university in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous with the efflux of time, inasmuch as selection process is now over and the eligible candidates have already joined their respective posts, hence the present writ petition be
