JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH) 07-10-2025 On the last occasion i.e., on 04.09.2025, when the matter was called out, no one appeared on behalf of the petitioners.

2. Today when the matter was again called for, no one appears on behalf of the petitioners.

3. A supplementary show cause has been filed by the State in pursuance of the order dated 04.09.2025 wherein the

Patna High Court MJC No.1608 of 2019(4) dt.07-10-2025 2/3 following statements have been made in Paragraph Nos. 42, 43 & 44 which are quoted hereinbelow:- "42. That from the above, it is evidently clear that pursuant to the directions of this Hon'ble Court vide order dated 11.09.2018, effective steps have been taken to fill up the posts which were vacant in Bihar Fire Services, as summarized hereinbelow:

43. That a total of 3,472 fresh appointments and promotions have been made subsequent to the order dated 11.09.2018, increasing the total strength of the service, thus demonstrating the sincere and sustained efforts made by the respondent to comply with the directions of this Hon'ble Court.

44. That in addition to complying with the directions for posts that

Patna High Court MJC No.1608 of 2019(4) dt.07-10-2025 3/3 existed in 2018, various other sanctioned posts have been created pursuant to the Bihar Fire Service (Amendment) Rules, 2022, and steps have been undertaken to fill the same in order to maximize the strength and increase the efficiency of the State Fire Services."

4. The Respondent-State has been continuously taking necessary steps for filling up the vacant posts in question as and when vacancy arises.

5. Considering the statements made in supplementary show cause which was filed on behalf of the State, this Court feels that no further order is required to be passed in this case.

6. Accordingly, the present contempt petition stands disposed of.
