1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That the present writ application is being filed for issuance of appropriate Writ Rule or Direction commanding upon the respondent authorities for getting disposal of petitioner's application dated 07.08.2019 for issuance of license of rifle, submitted in view of the award dated 13.07.2019 passed in terms of settlement made before the Lok Adalat held at the Hon'ble High Court, Patna in connection with C.W.J.C. No.15394 of 2017 by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Prabhat Kumar Singh.

Also for directing the respondent authorities particularly respondent no.3 to dispose of petitioner's application dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.7618 of 2024(2) dt.15-07-2024 2/2 07.08.2019 submitted for issuance of license of rifle considering the recommendations made in favour of the petitioner by the concerned authorities as well as considering the requirement of the fire arm to the petitioner as also found by the concerned authorities."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel the for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra, to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner on 07.08.2019, for issuance of arms license.

3. Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
