Petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with a case registered under Sections 341, 323, 498A, 363, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. Allegation is that the informant's daughter was being tortured and assaulted in connection with demand of dowry and it was informed telephonically to the informant that his daughter had fled away from the house.
It is submitted that the petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law is fled away from the house and they informed to her father, the informant. However, it is not a case of simple missing of lady but there appears allegation
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.786 of 2017 (3) dt.10-02-2017 2/2 of torture in connection with demand of dowry and the lady is missing and not recovered so the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected. However, the petitioners, if so advised, surrender before the court below and seek regular bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced by this order.
