2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 8C/21C/25 of the NDPS Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, 162 liters cough syrup was recovered from the Innova car of which petitioner was the driver.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was merely the driver of the vehicle and was only following the instruction of the vehicle owner. He was not aware of the nature of consignment. Petitioner claims clean antecedent. Charge sheet has already been filed. Petitioner is in custody since16.2.2024.

5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts of the case, prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is allowed. Let the petitioner, mentioned above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, NDPS Act, Purnia in K.Nagar Police Station Case No. 96/2024.
