2. The petitioner was convicted for committing offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act. The order of conviction and sentence was upheld by the Court of Appeal, though the terms of sentence was reduced.
3. Assailing the appellate courts order, the present revision has been filed. During the pendency of the instant revision, a settlement has been arrived at between the parties and the learned advocates for both the parties submit to dispose
Patna High Court CR. REV. No.544 of 2019(8) dt.16-01-2024 2/2 of the instant revision on the basis of the compromise petition as the offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act has been made compoundable under Section 147 of the said Act.
4. In view of such submission and for the reason that the compromise has been affected by and between the parties, the instant revision is disposed of on compromise. The petition of compromise be made part of this order.
5. Accordingly, the instant revision stands disposed of.
6. In view of compounding of offence, the order of conviction is set aside.
