In this case, the petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Ganga Bridge P.S. Case No. 28 of 2019 registered for offence punishable under section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

A truck has been seized, driver of the truck has disclosed the name of this petitioners and from the truck, 3654.500 litres of illegal liquor has been recovered. The petitioner has criminal antecedent of same nature. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners and accordingly their prayer for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26801 of 2019(2) dt.25-04-2019 2/2 bail is rejected. However, if the petitioners surrender and pray for regular bail, the court below without being prejudiced by this order, will take decision in accordance with law, preferably on the same day.
