2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No.2000C of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. Considering the nature of the dispute, which has arisen on account of matrimonial discord, this Court, with a view to exploring the possibility of an amicable settlement between the parties, referred the matter to the Patna High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre.
4. Pursuant to the said reference, both parties
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.28946 of 2026(4) dt.17-07-2026 2/3 participated in the mediation proceedings and successfully resolved their disputes. Consequently, the Mediation Report dated 24.06.2026, along with the duly executed Terms of Settlement, has been placed on record. As per the settlement, the complainant has agreed to receive a total sum of Rs. 30,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Lakh only) towards full and final settlement, payable in the following manner:

5. In furtherance of the aforesaid settlement, Demand Draft No. 031760 dated 20.06.2026 for a sum of Rs. 7,50,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakh Fifty Thousand only) has been handed over in Court to the learned Advocate appearing for the complainant, Mr. Pushpendra Kumar Singh, who acknowledges its receipt and shall make an appropriate endorsement to that

6. In view of the amicable settlement arrived at between the parties through mediation, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner deserves the privilege of anticipatory bail.
7. Accordingly, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Begusarai in connection with Complaint Case No.2000C of 2024, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of the BNSS, with further condition that one of the bailors shall be the own/close family members of the petitioner.
