2. With the consent of the parties, this writ application is being disposed of at this stage itself.

3. In the present writ application, the petitioner

2/4 has prayed for the grant of the following relief:- i. In the nature of Mandamus for directing and commanding the concerned respondent authorities to grant promotion to the petitioner to the post of Professor in the subject of Hindi from the date other similarly situated persons have been granted promotion to the post of Professor. ii. In the nature of Mandamus for directing and commanding the concerned respondent authorities to consider the representations of the petitioner and thereafter take necessary steps with regard to the promotion of the petitioner to the post of Professor in the subject of Hindi. iii. For issuance of any other relief/reliefs for which the petitioner is entitled in the facts and circumstances of the instant case."

After advancing some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for seeking the aforesaid relief(s), the petitioner is prepared to file a fresh representation before the Registrar, B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (respondent no.5) and he further prays that an appropriate direction be issued to dispose of his representation within a fixed time-frame, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

5. To the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for the

3/4 B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur and leaned counsel for the State-respondent do not have any objection.

Considering the limited nature of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ application is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the Registrar, B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (respondent no.5) within two weeks from today. If such a representation is filed within the stipulated time, the same shall be disposed of within a further period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the representation, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

Needless to emphasize that the final order, which shall be passed by the Registrar, B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (respondent no.5), should be a reasoned and speaking order, and in case the petitioner is found entitled to the relief(s), which the petitioner would be claiming through the representation, the same should be extended to the petitioner within a further period of eight weeks from the date of passing of the final order by the Registrar, B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (respondent no.5).

8. With the aforesaid observation/direction and liberty granted, this writ application stands disposed of.
