At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondents submits that a sum of Rs. 4,50,000/- has already been paid to the petitioner on the head of ex gratia amount in lieu of death of the father of the petitioner due to COVID-19 infection, hence it is submitted that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if it be so, the present writ petition be disposed off.
