Petitioner apprehends his arrest in Harsidhi P.S. Case No.272 of 2016 for the offence under Sections 147, 149, 323, 307, 353, 222, 223, 224, 225 and 120(B) of the I.P.C.

On the written report of one Ajay Kumar with allegation against the petitioner Anjan Kumar, Accounts Clerk, and co-accused Lokendra Kumar, B.D.O., Harsidhi, of demanding bribe of Rs.25,000/-, the informant constituting a raiding team on the basis of pre trap memorandum, arrested the petitioner and co-accused

No.53020 of 2017 (3) dt.17-11-2017 2/2 Lokendra Kumar red handed and thereafter the informant as soon as proceeded to take both the accused to keep them in their vehicle, the violent crowd started pelting stone on the government vehicle and instigated to damage the said vehicle of the raiding party and in the meantime, the petitioner along with Lokendra Kumar managed to flee away.

Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the Vigilance registered a separate case on the basis of the raid committed by the Vigilance team.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, prayer of the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail is rejected. However, petitioner may surrender before the court below and pray for regular bail who shall consider the same on its own merit without being prejudiced by this order.
