2. In the present writ application the petitioner is seeking the following reliefs:

(a) For issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus directing and commanding the respondents to pay arrear of honorarium to the petitioner which is due from the month of April 2013 to March 2017 i.e. total 48 months as the petitioner discharged his duty as a messenger in the Public Education Samittee (Bharat Literacy Mission), Buxar.

(b) For issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus directing and commanding the respondents to pay arrear of honorarium of Rs.1,44,000/- along with interest on delay payment.

Patna High Court CWJC No.8196 of 2024(2) dt.19-03-2025 2/2 (c) To grant any other relief or reliefs under which the petitioner found entitled to the fact and circumstances of the case.

3. By Annexure-P/3 which is a communication dated 20.12.2021 issued by the District Programme Officer, Literacy, Buxar, the dues of the petitioner has been admitted.

4. In the counter affidavit also there is no dispute to the fact that the petitioner is entitled to be paid honorarium of Rs.1,44,000/- for the period April, 2013 to March, 2017 (48 months).

5. In light of the above, this writ petition is allowed and the respondent no.2 is directed to take payment of Rs.1,44,000/- honorarium to the petitioner with interest of 6% per annum within two months from the date of receipt of this order.
