Mr. Anjani Kumar Sharan, learned Assistant Solicitor General submits that the matter relates to appointment on the post of Extra-departmental Branch Postmaster in the department of Post, Government of India. He further submits that in view of the provisions underlying Section 14 of the Administrative Tribunal Act, 1985 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act') the writ petition is not maintainable and the petitioner would be well advised to move the proper forum.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly leaving it open for the petitioner to approach the proper forum as provided under 'the Act' if so advised.
