Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Ghosi P.S. Case No. 431 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 196, 197, 198, 199, 201 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner, who was Mukhiya-cum-Chairman of Gram Panchayat, Saho Bigha at the relevant time, has been falsely implicated in this case merely on suspicion. Petitioner is not empowered to verify the educational certificates produced by a candidate. The candidate had given an affidavit stating that the educational certificates produced by

Moreover, the present first information report has been lodged after eight years of the alleged occurrence, without there being any plausible explanation for the delay. Petitioner is a man of clean antecedent. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub Judge I, Jehanabad in connection with Ghosi P.S. Case No. 431 of 2018 subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
