2. The present writ petition has been filed for payment of ex-gratia lumpsum amount in lieu of appointment of the present appointee.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner who died on 30.05.2004 when he was working as an Assistant Manager in State Bank of India at

Patna High Court CWJC No.6827 of 2012 dt.15-04-2024 2/2 Biharsharif Bazar Branch, Nalanda.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after death of the husband, the petitioner and her younger son has filed the application for her compassionate appointment and as per circular of the Bank the case of the petitioner was not considered by the Bank. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the Bank for ex-gratia payment on 09.11.2010.

5. Learned counsel for the State Bank of India has filed a counter affidavit annexing the Annexure-A of the counter affidavit which suggests that the Bank has already paid up the ex-gratia payment to the petitioner in the year 2013 itself. Therefore, the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed.
