====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 24-04-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

Petitioner grievance in the present writ application is inaction on the part of the licensing authority. Petitioner has approached the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram for grant of his Arms License which is pending since 1999. We are in 2019 and 20 years has gone by now the respondents have not taken decision one way or the other for grant of license/transfer of license as the father of the petitioner who is the original licensee and he is in advanced age and as such in terms of Rule 25 of 2016 Rules petitioner is entitled to consideration for grant of license in place of his father.

Patna High Court CWJC No.18251 of 2014(4) dt.24-04-2019 2/2 Considering the aforesaid, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent District Magistrate, Rohtas to take appropriate decision in the matter of grant of license/transfer of arms license to the petitioner in place of his father within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
