That this is an application for issuance of the writ(s) of Mandamus or other appropriate writs to direct the respondents especially the District Magistrate, Vaishali to decide on the application filed by the petitioner for grant permission composite / consolidate the particular and renewal of revolver/pistol license No. 406/Arms/09, Vashali, with the Rifle License No.

3041/NL/NIU, Dimapur, Nagaland, in terms of Rule 15(4)(5) and 24 of the Arms Rule 2016 and Arms Act and other relief

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Vaishali to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner for consolidation of two arms in one license, which is annexed as Annexure-P/4 to the present writ petition.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case such an application, filed by the petitioner, is pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Vaishali to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, in case the same has been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
