2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with STR No. 962 of 2023, arising out of Dhanarua P.S. Case No. 100 of 2022 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498, 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3 and 4 of D.P. Act.

3. It is a case of dowry death. It is alleged that this petitioner along with other co-accused persons murdered the daughter of informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. Petitioner is husband of the deceased.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. No occurrence as alleged in the FIR has ever taken place. Petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29171 of 2025(2) dt.04-07-2025 2/2 has never tortured the deceased for dowry. In fact, the deceased committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling. Petitioner is in custody since 25.05.2023.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application and submitted that petitioner is husband of the deceased and there is direct and specific allegation against the petitioner that he along with other co-accused persons has committed murder of deceased for dowry.

6. Considering the fact that there is specific allegation against the petitioner and the fact that victim died within seven years of her marriage in unnatural circumstances at her matrimonial house, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
