Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 30 (a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act 2016.

It is alleged that 148.980 liters of foreign liquor has been recovered from the house of co-accused Ranjan Kumar. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. Petitioner's name has figured during course of investigation in confessional statement of co-accused Ranjan Kumar. No incriminating material has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner and he is no way

Considering the facts of the case, in the event of arrest/surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court of Additional District and Sessions Judge-III cum Exclusive Special Judge (Excise), Saharsa in connection with Bangaon Police Station Case No 84 of 2022, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
