It is the petitioner's case that the petitioner had made arrangements by providing lodging, light, tent and shamiyana under the orders of the Circle Officer, Bakhtiyarpur in the wake of severe flood situation that had effected the Bakhtiyarpur area in the year, 2016. It is the petitioner's case that he is entitled to payment of a sum of Rs 17,66,030/- for the services rendered by him in 2016.

Patna High Court CWJC No.12545 of 2021(3) dt.12-05-2022 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn our attention to the bills, which were submitted by the petitioner for payment against the work done by him in the year, 2016. It is submitted that part payment, out of the total bill submitted by the petitioner, has been made to him.

We are not inclined to grant the relief which the petitioner has sought for payment of money for the work, said to have been executed in the year 2016, in a proceeding under Article 226 of the Constitution of India and that too nearly six years, after the work was executed.

This writ application is, accordingly, dismissed on account of delay and laches.
