====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 08-12-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State through video conferencing.

The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 304B/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Prosecution case, in brief, is that the informant performed the marriage of his daughter with son of the petitioner on 2.3.2019 but soon thereafter the petitioner along with other family members started demanding dowry and subjected his daughter to cruelty. On 13.11.2019 she got information from his relative that she has been killed by all the accused persons by pressing her neck and tried to burn her by sprinkling kerosene oil.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29244 of 2020(2) dt.08-12-2020 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case on suspicion. He is maternal uncle of the husband of the deceased and has nothing to do with the family affairs of the deceased. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner and husband of the deceased is already in custody. In the facts of the case, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. In the event of arrest/surrender, let the petitioner mentioned above be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettia, West Champaran in Shrinagar Police Station Case No. 83/2019, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
