The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 30(a) and 36 of the Bihar Excise Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 09.03.2022, is a person with clean antecedent, charge-sheet has been submitted in the case and is a women.

Allegation is of recovery of jaggery liquid which was destroyed along with 25 litres of liquor from the house of one Premiya Devi.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 09.03.2022, is a person with clean antecedent, chargesheet has been submitted in the case and she was not arrested from the spot, let the petitioner above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Motipur P.S.
