Mr.Sheo Shankar Prasad (SC-8) ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-07-2019 Admittedly an appeal lies against the order dated 18.08.2017 passed by the District Magistrate, Patna under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner has not preferred any appeal against the aforesaid order dated 18.08.2017, hence this court is of the opinion that the petitioner should file the statutory appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959, before the appellate authority for which purpose, this Court deems it fit and proper to grant four weeks' time to the petitioner. In case, an appeal is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the appellate authority shall examine the appeal of the petitioner on merits and dispose of the same expeditiously.

The writ petition stands disposed off with the aforesaid directions.
