The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case registered under Sections 341, 498A, 324, 326, 336, 307, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. Allegation against the petitioners is of committing torture, assault and thereafter set the victim on fire due to nonfulfilment of demand of dowry. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent. There is no allegation of tampering of witnesses alleged against the petitioners. The petitioners are in-laws of the victim who subsequently succumbed to the burn injuries sustained by her.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.39469 of 2018(2) dt.06-07-2018 2/2 There is no specific allegation against the petitioners. On behalf of the State, it is submitted that the petitioners are named in the F.I.R. The deceased died due to burn injuries sustained by her in course of the occurrence. Considering the accusations made in the present case, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Prayer is rejected.
