The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Town P.S. case No. 544 of 2014 for the offences punishable under Section 302, 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The informant alleged that when he reached his residence he saw Ravi Singh, the petitioner, and others standing there, who had come on motorcycles. The accused persons made indiscriminate firing causing death of two persons on the spot and many other persons got injuries.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that four persons were arrested on the spot and they were put on trial

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.39586 of 2018 (2) dt.09-07-2018 2/2 but the informant himself became hostile. It is further submitted that Deva Gupta, one of the co-accused, has been granted anticipatory bail by a coordinate bench of this court vide order dated 24.09.2015 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 19589 of 2015 but from perusal of FIR itself it appears that it was the petitioner and others who made indiscriminate firing causing death of two persons on the spot and many others were injured.

I am not persuaded to grant anticipatory bail in such a case of heinous and brutal killing of two persons by the petitioner and others, who are alleged to have made indiscriminate firing. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
