Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had purchased Kisan Vikas Patra worth of Rs. 40,000/- having Certificate No. 12 CD 144963 to 12 CD 144966 on 27.07.2003. The certificates granted by the Post Office got lost somewhere and the information in this regard was given by the petitioner to the concerned Post Office.

The prayer of the petitioner is for a direction to the respondents to issue duplicate certificate of Kisan Vikas Patra

Patna High Court CWJC No.12300 of 2015(2) dt.13-12-2022 2/2 and to make payment against those certificates which have now been matured.

Learned counsel further submits that the representation in this regard has been filed by the petitioner vide Annexure-2 before the Deputy Post Master, Jhanjharpur, Madhubani which is still pending.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the Union of India submits that the writ petition may be disposed directing the respondents to dispose the representation filed by the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid facts and the fact that the petitioner has already submitted the representation before Deputy Post Master, Jhanjharpur, Madhubani, the Deputy Post Master is directed to dispose the representation within four weeks.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the petition is disposed of.
