Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Chainpur P.S. Case No. 122 of 2019 for offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. The prosecution case as lodged by the police personnel is that on information that the petitioner along with her son is selling illicit liquor, the police conducted a raid and apprehended the petitioner along with her son. From the possession of the co-accused Vinod Pasi, 18 litres of country made liquor was recovered and from the possession of the petitioner, 1.8 litres of Indian made foreign liquor was recovered. However, learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Considering the nature of allegations and the materials on record as well as the fact that the petitioner does not bear any criminal antecedent, let the petitioner above named be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000 (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge 4th cumSpecial Judge, Kaimur at Bhabhua in connection with Chainpur P.S. Case No. 122 of 2019.
