====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE A. ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 30-06-2026 Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the counsels.

2. Having regard to the fact that the petitioner is having an alternative and efficacious remedy of filing an appeal before the Electricity Ombudsman against the order dated 21.02.2026 passed by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), this Court is not inclined to entertain the

Patna High Court CWJC No.7154 of 2026(3) dt.30-06-2026 2/2 present writ petition. The present writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 16.01.2026 passed by the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) before the learned Electricity Ombudsman within a period of four weeks from today. On such appeal being filed, the authority concerned shall pass a necessary orders in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. In case the petitioner pays 50 per cent of the demanded amount of Rs. 31,389/-, the respondent authorities are directed to restore the power supply to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

4. It is made clear that before passing any order, the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the parties.

5. With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
