JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 21-03-2018 An application, filed by the petitioner's daughter, Archana Kumari, for correction in her father's name, as entered in the certificates issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education, has been rejected by the impugned order, dated 18.07.2017, on the ground that the application is time barred. The petitioner's daughter had appeared for the said examination in the year 2015. According to her, her father's name has been mis-spelt. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Central Board of Secondary Education does not dispute the fact that after disposal of the representation filed by the petitioner's daughter, the time limit prescribed for considering corrections has been

Such being the situation, this application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner/petitioner's daughter to approach the Regional Secretary, Regional Office, Central Board of Secondary Education, Patna, with an application afresh, through the concerned school, seeking such correction, along with relevant documents.

If any application seeking such correction is received by the Regional Secretary, Regional Office, Central Board of Secondary Education, Patna, within a period of one month from today, he/she shall be obliged to consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months thereafter. The Court also directs that the concerned school shall also ensure that if any application is filed, the same shall be duly forwarded to the Regional Secretary, Regional Office, Central Board of Secondary Education, Patna, in accordance with law. This application stands disposed of.
