2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief(s):- "For issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus for direction the respondent authorities to complete the proceeding of Supply Miscellaneous Appeal No. 24/2022 which is pending.

For issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus for a direction to the respondent authorities to issue PDS License in favour of the petitioner under the facts and circumstances of the present case."

Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, having regard to the fact that the prayer sought for by petitioner is an innocuous one seeking a direction from this Court to direct the District Magistrate, Banka i.e. Respondent No. 2 to dispose of the appeal bearing Supply Miscellaneous Appeal No. 24 of 2022.

4. The present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to the Respondent No. 2 to dispose off the Supply Miscellaneous Appeal No. 24 of 2022 preferred by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order. The appeal shall be dealt with in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order.

5. It is needless to mention that before passing any order the petitioner shall be put on notice and given an opportunity of hearing.

Any order passed shall be communicated to the party.

6. With the above directions, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
