2. The petitioner, who was suspended on 31.08.2007 while he was working as Assistant Professor (English) in V.K.S., University, Ara and retired on 31.07.2014 while he was still under suspension, has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to pay subsistence allowance for the aforementioned period.

3. Considering the fact that this writ petition has been filed for payment of subsistence allowance for the period from 31.08.2007 to 31.07.2014, which is more than after ten years

Patna High Court CWJC No.7717 of 2025(2) dt.13-05-2025 2/2 since the petitioner had retired, I am of the view there has been an inordinate delay in approaching this Court for redressal of the petitioner's grievances.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
