2. With the consent of both the parties, this writ application is being disposed of at the present stage itself.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the relief as claimed for in the present writ application, the petitioner is prepared to file a detailed representation before the Inspector General, Excise-cum-Prohibition and Registration Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, within two weeks from the date of this order. Learned counsel for the petitioner further prays that an appropriate direction may kindly be issued to the Inspector General, Excise-cum-Prohibition and

Patna High Court CWJC No.8142 of 2025(2) dt.10-07-2025 2/3 Registration Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, to dispose of the representation of the petitioner on merit after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a fixed time frame.

4. To the aforesaid prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner the counsel for respondents-State does not have any objection.

Considering the limited nature of prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ application is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to file a detailed representation within two weeks from the date of this order before the Inspector General, Excise-cum-Prohibition and Registration Department, Government of Bihar, Patna. If such a representation is filed, the Inspector General, Excise-cumProhibition and Registration Department, Government of Bihar, Patna shall dispose of the same on merit after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

6. The entire exercise must be completed by the Inspector General, Excise-cum-Prohibition and Registration Department, Government of Bihar, Patna within a period of two months from the date of filing of the representation.
